Its all about the cloud these days, isnt it? Google has even come out with an OS thats nothing but cloud! Dont get me wrong, I love the cloud, but I have always been in favor of what I call hybrid strategy for your data. Till now, there have been two instances where the government shut down internet in the whole country! Look at whats going on in Egypt, Burma had also done the same thing few years back. Think about this for a moment, what if you had all your emails, pictures and documents in the cloud and all of a sudden, the government or the hosting company decides to shut it down! The better strategy is to have some of your hard drive being synchronized with the cloud.
